As you read it, Puerto Vallarta celebrated its 103rd anniversary on May 31, definitely one of the favorite destinations for many.
Today we tell you the story…
It turns out that on May 31, 1918, the Jalisco congress issued a decree establishing a police station with a new name, Puerto Vallarta.
Why this? because from police station it rose to the category of Municipality and in 1968 the current Port already had the great infrastructure and air and land connection, so a word was added to remain as City of Puerto Vallarta.
