Marina Vallarta is a small tourist destination that was born thanks to two great attractions: a marina with 450 spaces for boats and an 18-hole golf course. It has more than a kilometer of beach and is surrounded by well-known chain hotels and luxurious condominiums. A place you can’t miss for a memorable photo is the giant sculpture “The Whale and its Calf,” which, in addition to being a symbol of Puerto Vallarta, welcomes you to this beautiful place.
A good plan to start the day is to take a walk along the marina’s boardwalk. As you walk and enjoy the scenery, you’re likely to see residents and tourists exercising. When you work up an appetite, options vary between going to have breakfast at one of the several restaurants along the way or choosing one of those inside the hotels, many of which are open to the public. Afterwards, you have options like playing a round of golf on the course that is right across the street or taking a private yacht ride to some of the most beautiful beaches in the area.

El Faro is another emblem of Marina Vallarta. It is an elevated restaurant that offers stunning views of the yachts and their surroundings. Consider visiting it a little before sunset to delight in the impressive colors that form in the sky as the sun sets.
A romantic dinner can take place in one of the many restaurants found in the area and, if your plan is more family-friendly, there are options for all tastes. On the other hand, if you want to party, you can spend a fun night visiting one of the bars and clubs in this place.
Marina Vallarta is one of the most exclusive microdestinations in Puerto Vallarta and one of the best areas to stay. Your vacation cannot be complete without a visit to this charming place that is ready to welcome you with open arms.
